With 1 in 5 people in the U.S. being affected by mental illness, there has never been a more urgent need for mental health advocacy. At The Confess Project our mission to serve Black boys and men of color to continue to push through obstacles and rise above all doubt. Our ultimate goal for 2021 is to reach 1 million people by training 800 new barbers and stylist to raise mental health conversations and become mental health advocates in the communities they serve.
The Confess Project is working for a higher purpose, providing much needed mental health education and resources. TCP’s programs specifically focus on communities of color, we have borne the brunt and weight of trauma for far too long! Together we will continue to redefine Black and Brown mental health culture.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
We will send you a copy of the same media training we use to prepare baber’s for opportunities to speak to the media and communicate most effectively.

Our Top Projects
“Barbers will be transformed”
The Confess Project encourages cultural dialogue of African American males and speaking about emotional health. Our projects serve as the bridge for mental health disparities with marginalized males that will come in contact with/or seek treatment of any emotional related social issues. In addition, we train Barbers to become Mental Health Advocates.
African-American men experience disproportionately higher rates of unemployment, poverty, incarceration and chronic illness than their white counterparts. We understand that cultivating a culture of mental health for Black boys and men requires equipping our brothers with the information, tools, and steps to combat the systemic racism they face.
Black men with knowledge about mental health, financial literacy, home ownership, fatherhood, and other subjects pertinent to Black excellence. These programs are designed to enhance the life trajectory and prolong the life expectancy of our brothers by promoting health and wellness.
Vision: “I am more than a pair of clippers; I am improving my community through the barber chair one client at A Time”
